In addition, in a similar way, it blocks 99.999% of bacteria. Clean water can pass through the holes, but larger contaminants cannot. To clean the hollow fibers, simply rinse clean water in the opposite direction of the water flow. This pushes dirt and debris out of the inlet, extending the life of the filter.
