ALBERTON

ALBERTON is a material brand originating in the United States with a vintage and military concept, and offers unique items that make the most of the materials.

1.In order to preserve the weaving standards of 1870 as much as possible, we use the same looms as back then and utilize modern weaving technology to create products with no compromises.
2. The base material is imported from the US military and processed domestically.
3. We have developed an original flame-retardant material for outdoor use in collaboration with a major raw material manufacturer.

ALBERTON Alberton flame retardant blanket, 1930s vintage style

A 1935 blanket from a major outdoor brand was actually obtained from the US, and was thoroughly analyzed by Alberton textile professionals. We searched for a production factory that could weave it in the same way as it was back then, and reproduced it using modern flame-retardant materials. The fabric is 5mm thick and double-woven, giving it a heavy finish. We asked Jonathan Lukasek, stylist for artists John Mayer and Dai Hirai, to decide on the colors and other details, resulting in a more American finish. It is flame-retardant, so if it does catch fire, it will go out quickly. It is perfect for both home bedding and outdoor use (camping, sleeping in a car).

Features of Kanecaron Protex flame-retardant material

The flame retardancy meets the CPAI84 standard for American tents. (PRODUCT B4 company inspection)
・Flame-retardant materials Flame-retardant fibers have the ability to self-extinguish, meaning that the fire will stop as soon as the source of fire is removed. Unlike flame-retardant fibers that are post-processed, the flame-retardant properties will not weaken or be lost through washing, etc.
・Carbonized fibers When burned, they are carbonized without melting. The carbonized part prevents the fire from spreading, and the burning stops immediately when the source of fire is gone. Also, unlike melting fibers such as polyester, they do not melt off and stick to the skin even if they burn.
・Soft texture Lightweight, warm, and highly elastic, its unique fiber shape gives it a soft and supple texture. It has the same characteristics as Kanekalon, which is also used in fake fur and wigs, but it feels good on the skin and does not easily generate the unpleasant static electricity that is common with polyester materials.

Notes

We recommend hand washing at home. If you use a washing machine, select the "hand wash" or "weak water flow" setting and use a laundry net.
Due to the nature of the material, pilling may occur.
