BearVault is a small family business based in Colorado that manufactures bear-resistant food containers. They proudly manufacture their products entirely in the USA and continue to do so. They are focused on constantly improving their sustainable practices while also improving their products. Proper food storage helps protect people and wildlife.

When BearVault was first launched, existing bear canisters were small, heavy, and difficult to use. BearVault founders wanted to create a canister that was easier to use, and the first in the BearVault series, the BV100, was clear, lightweight, spacious, and easy to open, with a large opening. Its innovative approach to rethinking the bear canister led to it being selected as the Backpacker Magazine Editor's Choice Award winner in 2004. As more parks began to implement food storage regulations, BearVault's easy-to-use canisters played a key role in promoting widespread canister use to protect bears, wildlife, and people.
