Kauhavan Puukko Paja

Kauhavan Puukko Paja is pronounced "Kauhavan Puukko Paja" and means "Kaihavan knife maker" in Finnish.

A puukko (knife) brand from Finland, the holy land of bushcraft. There is no doubt that all of their puukkos are well-made, traditional, authentic, yet inexpensive and easy to use, making them an excellent value for money brand for bushcraft. Their puukkos come with both artisan-forged blades and mass-produced blades, and Kauhava artisans make the handles and sheaths for these blades to make the products. Puukkos with mass-produced blades are of course inexpensive, but they also have excellent sharpness, making them an excellent value for money. Forged blades are a bit more expensive, but the sharpness, feel, and flavor that come from the forging are particularly noteworthy.

In this country, people are so familiar with knives that they have classes on making puukkos (which means knife in the local language) during compulsory education, and it is common for knives to be considered an essential tool in the forest. Therefore, most people have at least a basic understanding of the structure and construction of a puukko, and at outdoor events, puukkos and kuksas are piled up in mountains at various booths. There is also a rule that "the forest belongs to everyone," and as long as it is not a special protected area, forests can be used freely, and "bonfire sites" are even marked on official maps, so anyone can enjoy an open fire in the forest. The puukko is a traditionally loved item in this country. Why not take a trip into the forest with a puukko in hand?
