Hummingbird Hammocks, made in Denver, Colorado, was founded in 2014 by a skydiving-loving owner who wanted to create a hammock that was lightweight and small, yet strong enough to be taken anywhere, using the same material used in parachutes.

The company's lineup is focused on lightweight design, with single hammocks sized for one person weighing just 145g for a mattress, and double hammocks, which offer more space, are made from ultra-lightweight materials weighing only 280g when considering the surface area ratio.

The separately sold tree straps required for use can also be used in conjunction with those from other manufacturers and weigh only 60g, so the smallest combination weighs 205g.
As long as there is wood you can find a place to sleep and a chair anywhere, and if the place is warm you won't even need a mat, so you can create a very lightweight and enjoyable place to stay.
Another attractive feature is its simple design, which means that it only takes a minute to set up once you get used to it.
