The designer of the Hummingbird Hammock looked around his rigging loft and used some used skydiving materials he had on hand to create a hammock. The used materials were borrowed from a parachute company and the resulting product was lighter, stronger and packs up much smaller than any other hammock on the market. Funded by a Kickstarter campaign, the successful product has grown to a fully operational base in Monument, Colorado, and continues to develop further products.

★Hummingbird Hammocks are the lightest hammocks in the world★

This tree strap is very easy to use and will not damage the tree. It weighs only 42g. It is the lightest in the world, just like the hammock. The strap is 1 inch wide, uses 450kg Spectra parachute cord, and the "Whoopy Sling" adjustment system. The entire 1-person hammock set (body and straps) weighs less than 210g.

★How to attach the straps to the Hummingbird Hammocks★

There are cords on both sides of the hammock that can be connected to the straps, and there are buttons on the cords. When setting up, please pass the strap loop through the button, and then pass the button through the buttonhole. Please refer to the video below. If you do not follow this, there is a risk of falling out of the hammock.

A new generation hammock that is surprisingly light and can be used in any situation

Hummingbird Hammocks, made in Denver, Colorado, was founded in 2014 by an owner who loves skydiving, with the aim of creating a hammock that was lighter and smaller than conventional wisdom, yet strong enough to be taken anywhere, using the same material used in parachutes.

The company's lineup is focused on lightweight design, with single hammocks sized for one person weighing just 145g, and double hammocks which can be used with more space to fit a mat weighing just 280g, all made from ultra-lightweight materials even when considering the surface area ratio.

The separately sold tree straps required for use can also be used with other manufacturers, and weigh only 42g in actual measurements, so the minimum combination weighs less than 195g! If you consider that you can sleep anywhere as long as there is a tree and a chair, and that you don't even need a mat if it's warm, you can create a boldly lightweight and fun place to stay. What's more, once you get used to it, the simple shape is attractive as it only takes about a minute to set up.

Sleeping in a hammock has always fascinated us. However, previous items were a bit heavy and bulky, making it difficult to actively take them to camp. However, with the arrival of this item, the curtain is about to rise on hammock camping, the final fortress of UL.

This is a hammock that I would recommend to anyone with back pain or who is a side sleeper and cannot sleep on their back. If your back is cold, you can tie a mat or quilt to it, or you can try it out using a camping chair.
