The designer of the Hummingbird Hammock looked around his rigging loft and used some used skydiving materials he had on hand to create a hammock. The used materials were borrowed from a parachute company and the resulting product was lighter, stronger and packs up much smaller than any other hammock on the market. Funded by a Kickstarter campaign, the successful product has grown to a fully operational base in Monument, Colorado, and continues to develop further products.

A new generation hammock that is surprisingly light and can be used in any situation

Hummingbird Hammocks, made in Denver, Colorado, was founded in 2014 by an owner who loves skydiving, with the aim of creating a hammock that was defying conventional wisdom by being lighter and smaller than life, yet still strong, so that it could be taken anywhere.

The company's lineup is focused on lightweight design, with a single hammock for one person weighing in at just 145g.
The double hammock, which allows you to put a mat inside and has plenty of space, is made of an ultra-lightweight material, weighing just 280g considering its surface area.
The separately sold tree straps required for use can also be used in conjunction with those from other manufacturers, and the actual weight is only 60g, so the smallest combination weighs just 205g!
As long as there is wood you can find a place to sleep and a chair anywhere, and if the place is warm you don't even need a mat, so you can create a very lightweight and enjoyable place to stay.
