ALBERTON
ALBERTON is a material brand originating in the United States with a vintage and military concept, and offers unique items that make the most of the materials.
1.In order to preserve the weaving standards of 1870 as much as possible, we use the same looms as back then and utilize modern weaving technology to create products with no compromises.
2. The base material is imported from the US military and processed domestically.
3. We have developed an original flame-retardant material for outdoor use in collaboration with a major raw material manufacturer.

ALBERTON Alberton Flame Retardant Boa Bonfire Blanket
- The outer fleece material is made of a new material (Kanecaron Protex A) that absorbs infrared rays and becomes warm. - Faithfully reproduces the American high pile of the 1950s with an irresistible vintage feel. - The lining is made of Alberton GUNMAKU, a tent fabric with excellent flame retardant and waterproof properties. Kanecaron®️ Protex A®️ is used for the outer material.
In addition to being flame retardant, the material has the ability to protect the skin from burns by absorbing and retaining infrared rays when exposed to heat rays from an explosion, etc.
The "flame-retardant boa (sliva knit) blanket that absorbs infrared rays and keeps you warm," which Alberton is introducing today, was created by applying this infrared absorption performance.
When used in front of a bonfire, it warmed the device by up to 11 degrees (see test results below for details).

Features of Kanecaron Protex
・Flame-retardant materials Flame-retardant fibers have the ability to self-extinguish, meaning that the fire will stop as soon as the source of fire is removed. Unlike flame-retardant fibers that are post-processed, the flame-retardant properties will not weaken or be lost through washing, etc.
・Carbonized fibers When burned, they are carbonized without melting. The carbonized part prevents the fire from spreading, and the burning stops immediately when the source of fire is gone. Also, unlike melting fibers such as polyester, they do not melt off and stick to the skin even if they burn.
・Soft texture Lightweight, warm, and highly elastic, its unique fiber shape gives it a soft and supple texture. It has the same characteristics as Kanekalon, which is also used in fake fur and wigs, but it feels good on the skin and does not easily generate the unpleasant static electricity that is common with polyester materials.
Excellent flame retardancy and water resistance, allowing you to be active outdoors!
The lining is made of 10oz army duck GUNMAKU, which is flame retardant and water resistant.
The weft thread of the 10oz ARMYDUCK, which was used for tents by the US military, has been changed from cotton to modacrylic fiber (Kanecaron® Protex®), improving the flame retardant performance.
It is water-resistant, light-resistant, and the addition of flame retardants increases the surface flame retardancy.
-Water resistance: Approximately 1000 mm
- Light blocking: 99.998%
- Flame retardancy: Meets CPAI84 flame retardancy standard for American tents.
The surface of the coat is not water-repellent but hydrophilic (it was originally a surface coating for military tents, so the water-repellent surface would cause water droplets to scatter, making them easier to spot from the air, which is why it is hydrophilic), and although the surface looks wet, it prevents water from entering.
In addition, this time the fabric has been bio-processed to give it a softer texture.
This standard is defined by the US Federal Specification CCC-C-419F.
Recreating the irresistible vintage feel of 1950s boa, we focused on creating a soft texture that is sure to captivate anyone who touches it.
Slivaknit (high pile) is made by directly knitting "slivers" made from rope-like cotton instead of thread, so it is possible to create a pile fabric without compromising the quality of the material.
When removing pile fabric using a brush to loosen the pile yarn, the texture is less likely to be damaged and you will be able to feel the natural texture of the pile.
Washing Instructions
- Wash separately in a laundry net at 30℃ using a gentle cycle in the washing machine.
(The surface of the GUNMAKU product contains pigments, so color transfer may occur.)
- Squeeze gently - Hang to dry in the shade. Do not bleach, tumble dry or iron.
Notes
*Do not store while wet.
