Six Moon Designs' "Six Moon" was named after the fact that it takes about six months to complete the 4,279 km Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). When brand owner Ron Moak experienced the PCT in 2000, he felt a strong need for lightweight gear, which inspired him to create innovative ultra-lightweight gear.

Ever since his first backpacking experience on the Appalachian Trail in high school, brand owner Ron Moak has been completely captivated by it. A few years later, he set out on the 3,500km Appalachian Trail with his wife Linda in the summer of 1977. Inspired by hikers like Grandma Gatewood, Ron and Linda began making their own hiking gear and completed the PCT in 2000.
In May 2002, Six Moon Designs produced its first product, the Europa Tent. The Europa Tent met various criteria, such as being lightweight yet sturdy, easy to set up, and reasonably priced, making it a tent that is suitable for a wide range of use, including in the backcountry. Since then, the company has released a series of innovative products, including the Starlight Pack, Gatewood Cape, and Luna Solo. Ron is one of the few hikers to have achieved the Triple Crown. SIX MOON DESIGNS Haven Tarp Set for 2 people 950g

The Haven Tarp Set is lightweight yet spacious. The Haven Tarp 500g can be used as a standalone 2-person shelter, or combined with the Haven Net Tent 450g to create an ultra-lightweight 2-person double-wall tent weighing less than 1kg.

The features of this tent are its large floor area and high wind resistance. Its unique design with two apexes that drop sharply outwards makes the interior area larger than you would imagine. In addition, it comes with a removable mosquito net, providing a comfortable and safe sleep.

The Haven Tarp Set is an excellent two-person tent that can be used in all four seasons. It is easy to set up using trekking poles, and is wind-resistant and durable. It has plenty of foot clearance, making it suitable for a variety of situations, including hiking and camping.

The total weight is less than 930g, yet the interior is larger than the MSR Hubba Hubba. This combination is versatile and has entrances on both sides, so you can sleep under a mesh tarp by fully opening the doors, or you can set up the mesh tent by itself. Of course, even if you use the tarp by itself, it has ventilation on both sides, so it is also designed to be useful for camping in the snow.

Haven Tarp 500g

The Haven Tarp is a molded tarp that offers maximum protection with minimal weight. The 49.5" canopy with dual pole design provides ample headroom. The wide canopy with nearly vertical sidewalls increases the usability of the tarp and eliminates sidewall collisions. The Haven Tarp can be pitched using your own hiking poles or the optional Carbon Fiber poles. For pole-free use, use the tabs on each side of the canopy to string ropes between trees to hang the Haven Tarp.

The Haven Tarp can be used in combination with the Haven Net Tent. Together they create a luxuriously sized double wall shelter weighing just 900g. With most tarp/net tent combinations on the market, the net tent must be pitched before the tarp. The poles are usually inside the net tent, which can easily bump into each other in the dark. This also means that it is impossible to pitch and take down the net tent in the rain without getting it wet.

The Haven Tarp and Net Tent combination is used by hanging the net tent from the tarp. This design allows you to set up the tarp first even in the rain, and take down the tarp last, allowing the net tent to stay dry and easily stored in your backpack.

360-degree protection provides more security than existing flat tarps. Easy to set up in under 2 minutes in any condition. Ultra-light waterproof canopy is made of high-strength 30 denier Silnylon.

Two side entries allow for easy entry and exit, and the floating canopy allows you to adjust the canopy height.

The dual pole support significantly increases headroom and living space. The optimized sleeping area maximizes comfort, ventilation and visibility. The maximum height of 114cm provides ample space.

Adjusting the tension is so easy you can do it without even leaving the sleeping bag. All fastening points have retention straps. Top vent allows for additional humidity control.

For those who don't have trekking poles, we recommend our 116cm tent poles, which are lightweight, strong and easy to use.

Storage size: 30cm x 11cm. Can be made even smaller if packed tightly.
