Six Moon Designs' "Six Moon" was named after the fact that it takes about six months to complete the 4,279 km Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). When brand owner Ron Moak experienced the PCT in 2000, he felt a strong need for lightweight gear, which inspired him to create innovative ultra-lightweight gear.

Brand owner Ron Moak was fascinated by the Appalachian Trail after his first backpacking experience in high school. A few years later, he set out on the 3,500km Appalachian Trail with his wife Linda in the summer of 1977. Inspired by hikers like Grandma Gatewood, Ron and Linda began making their own hiking gear and completed the PCT in 2000.
In May 2002, Six Moon Designs produced its first product, the Europa Tent. The Europa Tent met various criteria, such as being lightweight yet sturdy, easy to set up, and reasonably priced, making it a tent that is suitable for a wide range of use, including in the backcountry. Since then, the company has released a series of innovative products, including the Starlight Pack, Gatewood Cape, and Luna Solo. Ron is one of the few hikers to have achieved the Triple Crown. I love the outdoors but hate bugs! I don't need a mosquito net except in summer! It's just in the way! I'm used to floorless shelters, but sometimes I want something with a solid floor. This Sernity NetTent is the item that answers such needs. It is an inner tent of GateWoodCape, but it is designed to be set up alone. It can be used in combination with various tents and tarps. It is perfect to use in combination with GateWood Cape and Duschutz Tarp. When using only the net tent, use it in a mountain hut, and outdoors under a large tarp. Perfect bug protection prevents insects from entering. It also features a deep bathtub floor. *Trekking poles etc. are not included in the product.

With the Serenity Net Tent, you can enjoy the outdoors without worrying about bugs! Even in seasons when you don't need a mosquito net, you can rest assured that the bug protection is solid. As an upgrade from floorless shelters, the floor is also solid, making for a more comfortable camping experience. It can be combined by hanging it from the GatewoodCape without using any extra pegs. The head and foot parts are connected to the internal loops to create a space. It even gives the impression that it was originally one item.

Sometimes the simplest solution is the best. The Serenity Net Tent offers a simple solution to keep out crawlies and pesky mosquitoes. Its small footprint means it can be pitched almost anywhere. Unlike a bivy, which has mesh directly over your face, the Serenity's 114cm height means you can sit comfortably. You'll sleep better and mosquitoes won't get through the mesh.

The Serenity has a large door for easy entry and exit. No need to struggle through long tunnels or remove the door from the cape to get out. The Serenity is best used with the Gatewood Cape and Deschutes Tarp. Used alone on a nice night, it's a great tent for a great view of the stars.

A tent-type mosquito net that can be set up independently

Unlike bivies that have mesh directly over your face, the 114cm high Serenity allows you to sit comfortably. The quick connect function allows you to easily connect to the Gatewood Cape and Deschutes Tarp. Extremely easy to set up with only five pegs (when used alone). No pegs are required when used with the Gatewood Cape.

Storage size: 24cm x 10cm. Can be made even smaller if packed tightly.
