Katoma

In 1993, a group of outdoor enthusiasts started designing tents in Montgomery, Alabama, USA. The brand name "CATOMA" was chosen because the company had a facility on the banks of Catomalique in the same state.

More than 300,000 units have been sold to the US military. The Improved Bed Net System (IBNS) pop-up tent (product name: Burrow) manufactured by Catoma can be folded compactly for easy carrying and can be set up in an instant. The mesh part is treated with EPA (US Environmental Protection Agency) approved permethrin to provide insect repellency, and the body is made of durable nylon ripstop fabric.
