Self-inflating mattress FIT 480 - Ultralight

The FIT 480 self-inflating mattress is the perfect solution for anyone looking for comfortable and lightweight tourist equipment. The self-inflating mat is covered with an ultra-light material reinforced with ripstop weave. The mattress is black from below and deep dark green from above, blending discreetly into the surrounding environment. The filling is an elastic openwork sponge with a density of only 12 kg/m3, which, combined with the anatomical shape, ultimately results in a thickness of 2.5 cm and a weight of only 480 grams for a length of 185 cm. The BUSHMEN Travel Gear FIT mattress is approximately 25% lighter than sleeping mats of the same dimensions and approximately 20% lighter than other ultra-light self-inflating mats of the same parameters. FIT means a fitted shape.

The FIT in the name refers to the anatomical shape of the mattress: the wide top of the mattress gradually narrows, which, together with the rounded corners, saves approximately 15% in weight compared to a rectangular mattress of similar dimensions. By adjusting to the shape of your body, the mattress provides a comfortable sleeping experience while keeping the weight of the mattress to a minimum.

Up to 2°C comfort FIT 480

The insulation factor, also known as R-value, is a parameter that indicates the ability of a mattress to minimise heat loss. The FIT 480 mattress has a thickness of 2.5cm. This guarantees an R-value of 2.1. This means that a mattress with such an R-value is only intended for use in temperatures above 2°C. This ensures a comfortable thermal environment for most holiday trips.

Comfortable down to -4℃ FIT 600

The insulation factor, also known as R-value, is a parameter that indicates the mattress's ability to minimize heat loss. The FIT 600 mattress has a thickness of 3.8 cm. This guarantees an R-value of 3.1. This means that mattresses with such an R-value are only intended for use in temperatures above -4 OC. It is a complete 3-season mat that will protect you even in ground frost.

Down to the ground and into the hammock

FIT mattresses are suitable not only as insulation in Bivy bags (FIT 480 and FIT 600) or tents, but also in hammocks. Thanks to the rounded corners, the hammock keeps the mattress perfectly in the right position according to the user's weight, even when the sleeper is fidgeting.

Convenient valve

The mattress is equipped with the well-known and proven non-return valve with quick air release - this design makes both inflating and deflating the mattress extremely easy.

Transport

Once packed, the travel mattresses take up very little space. Rolled up and fastened with Velcro straps, the FIT 480 mattress only measures 12x26cm when hidden in a bag. The FIT 600 mattress only measures 14x26cm when hidden in a bag. Thanks to these compact sizes, they can be easily taken on trips.

Pump bag

If you care about hygiene and don't want to inflate your mattress by mouth, or if you simply want to speed up the automatic mattress inflation process, we recommend purchasing a pump bag, fully compatible with our mattresses. It is a waterproof bag equipped with a pumping valve, thanks to which you can easily and quickly inject additional air and protect your belongings from getting wet during your hike.

Note

Contact with sharp objects may damage the mattress. Contact with temperatures above 100°C may damage the mattress. Do not expose a fully inflated mattress to the sun, as the increased pressure caused by heating the mattress may damage it.
