Drymax

Drymax is a revolutionary sock developed by a California-based venture using cutting-edge technology to wick away moisture and keep your feet dry. Developed primarily as sports socks for long-distance runners in ultramarathons, the high-quality product is made in the USA and has earned overwhelming support from athletes around the world.

Drymax Military Line "Active Duty"

These high-performance socks wick away moisture and keep your feet dry. The proprietary Drymax fiber wicks away 17 to 25 times more moisture than normal. This excellent quick-drying property prevents blisters and athlete's foot caused by stuffiness. They are also durable and resistant to deformation, making them ideal for heavy use. In addition to keeping them dry, they have low thermal conductivity, so they are dry in the summer and heat is less likely to be lost in the winter, making them comfortable to wear all year round. They are also treated with an antibacterial agent called "MicroZap" and have an anti-odor effect. They are recommended for all running situations, including trail running, and outdoor leisure activities such as camping and hiking. The "Active Duty Sock - Tactical" was developed and designed as a military line, and by adopting a two-structure moisture wicking system, they have the highest class of quick-drying performance among Drymax products. In addition, the simple yet deep color scheme unique to military colors is also attractive.

Socks that dramatically eliminate blisters and athlete's foot caused by humidity

It is said that the main cause of blisters and athlete's foot, which many people suffer from, is moisture from sweat. Our proprietary DryMax fiber dissipates moisture 17 to 25 times more than other fibers (polyester, acrylic, nylon, wool), keeping your feet dry and dramatically relieving blisters and athlete's foot!

How DryMax Technology keeps your feet dry

Drymax socks are made of two layers. The inner layer that touches the skin is made of superhydrophobic Drymax fiber that does not absorb water, and the outer layer is made of moisture-wicking fiber that absorbs water. When we are active in our daily lives (walking or running), the moisture inside is pushed out and moves to the outer moisture-wicking fiber, which absorbs and dissipates the sweat that adheres to the skin. Since no water adheres to the inner Drymax fiber, your feet can always be kept dry. Drymax fiber also uses the antibacterial additive MicroZap, which is kneaded with silver that has antibacterial properties. It is not a surface treatment, but is kneaded into the fiber, so its effect lasts permanently for the life of the socks.

Comparison with other fibers

"Excellent quick drying"

Independent lab tests have proven that DryMax socks are 17-25 times drier (wicks away moisture) than traditional socks made from polyester, acrylic or wool.

"Excellent durability"

Drymax fiber is the second most durable fiber (after nylon) commonly used in socks. In addition, special abrasion-resistant nylon fibers are used to reinforce the toe and heel areas, which are subject to high wear, to ensure that socks last longer.

"Excellent lightness"

Drymax fiber is the lightest fiber used in socks. The fiber has such a low specific gravity that it floats on water. By using Drymax fiber instead of existing fibers, socks can be made lighter. This reduces energy consumption during long periods of activity, helping to improve performance.

"Excellent heat retention"

Because the fibers have low thermal conductivity, they are less likely to lose heat from the skin than regular socks, keeping your feet warm even in winter.

DryMax technology is highly regarded by US soldiers operating in harsh environments

Drymax socks were originally developed for long-distance runners such as those in ultramarathons, but now their quality and performance are highly regarded, and they are also produced on an OEM basis for major boot manufacturers that have a track record of supplying to the U.S. military. Drymax products are also highly regarded among U.S. soldiers who work in harsh environments, and there are many loyal users.

FAQ

"Why is keeping your feet dry so important?"

Moisture on the skin can cause a number of problems. In hot weather, it can cause blisters and promote the growth of odor-causing bacteria and athlete's foot fungus. In cold weather, moisture removes heat 23 times faster than air, causing sore feet and frostbite due to the rapid drop in temperature.

"Does the performance of DryMax deteriorate with repeated wearing and washing?"

No, they won't fall off. DryMax's performance is not a result of a superficial treatment like other absorbent socks, but is built into the fibers themselves, so it will last the lifetime of the socks.

"How do Drymax socks keep your feet warm in cold conditions?"

Moisture absorbs heat 23 times faster than air. In cold weather, moisture in wet socks can rapidly lower skin temperature, causing foot pain and frostbite. DryMax keeps your feet drier than any other sock, keeping them warm and comfortable in cold weather. DryMax also has the lowest thermal conductivity of any sock fiber, so it absorbs less heat from the skin than regular socks (nylon, polyester, acrylic, cotton, wool), keeping your feet warm in the winter.

"Does DryMax completely prevent the occurrence of blisters 100%?"

The sock's performance alone is not the cause of blisters, so no sock can claim to completely prevent blisters 100%. For example, wearing socks that do not fit properly or chronic rubbing of the stitching due to the different foot shapes of each person can also cause blisters. However, the main cause of blisters is moisture from sweat. Moisture affects the slipperiness and friction coefficient between the skin and the sock. Frequent sliding and rubbing of the skin inside the sock makes blisters more likely to occur. In addition, moisture inside the sock softens the skin, making it more vulnerable to blisters. DryMax fibers keep your feet dry, so the occurrence of blisters due to moisture can be significantly reduced.

"Does DryMax eliminate foot odor?"

In many cases, it does work. Spoilage bacteria causes foot odor, and these bacteria thrive in dark, warm, and damp places. Removing moisture from inside socks creates an environment that is less conducive to bacterial growth. Drymax also contains an antibacterial additive called MicroZap. MicroZap is a silver-based zirconium phosphate ceramic ion exchange resin. MicroZap is not a surface treatment, but is molecularly worked into the Drymax fibers as they are extruded in the melt process. This special manufacturing process makes MicroZap non-migratory and non-toxic, providing a permanent, long-term odor control effect. However, foot odor is often also caused by shoe odor. To completely eliminate shoe and foot odor, it may be necessary to use a combination of several products, such as shoe cleaners and deodorizing sprays, depending on the situation.

"Why don't you make thick padded socks?"

Thick padded socks can cause some problems. The thickness of the socks affects the fit of the shoes and the comfort. With the improvement of technology in the last few years, the comfort of shoes and boots has improved dramatically, and we believe that thick padded socks are no longer necessary to improve comfort. If you feel that your shoes need a little more cushioning, it is better to replace them with high-performance insoles rather than wearing thick socks. Thick socks have high insulation and cause a lot of sweating, which can cause cold feet in cold weather and make you more susceptible to blisters and athlete's foot in hot weather.

Is it okay to use fabric softener when washing?

Please avoid using fabric softeners as much as possible. If you use fabric softeners, the coating components of the fabric softener will remain on all fabrics. Coated fabrics will not perform as expected. If you do use fabric softener, rinse thoroughly with water to remove it.

"Does DryMax shrink or lose its shape?"

Drymax socks are made with special fibers that provide a comfortable elasticity and will not stiffen, shrink or lose their shape even after long-term use. They are made from the highest quality Drymax and polyester fibers, and are reinforced with special abrasion-resistant nylon fibers in the toe and heel areas, making them designed to withstand long-term use.
