★Emberlit Fire Starter Kit, Emberlit MerkWares, Fire Starter Kit, Fire Starter Kit, Survival, Outdoor, Camping, Emberlit MerkWares★
This all-in-one set contains all the materials you need to start a fire using a flint. You can master the art of starting a fire in a retro style. The traditional set is complemented by a condensing lens and a design striker, giving it a modern, sophisticated feel in a retro style. Why not try starting a fire with everyone, adding a little extra twist to your usual leisure activities? This is the perfect set to truly master the use of fire. Starting a fire using a flint is more difficult than using a fire steel, but everyone did it with this in the Edo period, so please give it a try. It's okay if it doesn't work with a flint. The condensing lens makes it easy to make the char cloth red hot. It's also a good way to teach your children about the importance of fire and how people rely on civilization to survive. When you actually use it, the can will burn when making char cloth, and the carbon steel striker will rust like steel.

[How to start a fire using a flint]
[How to make char cloth]
<1> Prepare the charcoal cloth (10-15 minutes)
- Prepare a piece of cloth or string that is 100% cotton and non-stretchy.
・Put it in the can provided and close the lid.
・Keep it on the fire and wait until the combustion gases die down.
The indicator is when the orange flame from the gas coming out of the can goes out.
- Turn off the heat and allow to cool completely before checking if the cheese is done.
・If it has turned completely black, it is complete.
*If you make a large amount at once, it will be convenient later.
*When you put a can on fire, it will expand and bend, or the lid will open on its own, so immediately close it again. It will settle down eventually. You may also want to place a rock on top.
<2> Prepare the fire
- Unravel the hemp string until it becomes fibrous (just twist it in the opposite direction).
- Make a bird nest shape the size of your fist
- Cut the char cloth into pieces the size of your thumb (you can cut it by hand).
<3> Start the fire
-Hold the flint in your dominant hand and the stone in your other hand.
Place the char cloth on the stone and hold it with your thumb.
・Strike the flint against the stone.
・The sparks that are generated will eventually land on the char cloth.
The char cloth will start to glow red, so gently blow on it to spread the heat.
・Place it gently in the crater and gently wrap it.
- Rotate your hand holding the fire starter or blow on it to encourage combustion.
If a flame occurs, move it to kindling etc. to maintain and grow the flame.
