The IA5T is our smallest and most portable unit. It's designed to be lightweight, small footprint, easy to carry and optimized to power 5V devices. It's perfect for backpacking, expeditions, remote wilderness escapes, and hut-to-hut adventures on ski, bike or foot.

Packability

Texenergy's design intent is ease of use and portability, bringing wind power to the adventurous consumer. When disassembled, the turbine fits into a small utility pouch and neatly fits into a backpack or carry solution so you can take it wherever your wind power adventure takes you.

Wind speed

Because wind conditions vary, the IA5T is designed to provide power even in low wind speeds - the stronger the wind, the faster the charging, but the minimum wind speed is 8mph to 12km/h to provide charging for 5v devices.

Our design concept is based on ease of use, so no tools are required for assembly: it is glove friendly, easy to assemble and the unit can be assembled on-site, making it lightweight for all seasons.

Turbine safety blades are precision engineered to provide smooth rotation under a variety of wind conditions and maintain stable rotation in any environment.

360 degree rotation

Because wind comes from all directions, the engineered aluminum tail fins and 360 degree rotation allow it to take advantage of wind variations with maximum efficiency.

Baseline Capabilities: In a low wind speed of 8mph/12kmh/Beaufort Scale - Force 3, the IA5T can charge a phone in 4-5 hours, a headlamp in 2 hours, a GoPro in 3 hours, a tablet in 7-9 hours, and a 10,000mAh power bank in 14-15 hours.

Ideal Locations: Backcountry - open fields or overlooks, high in the mountains, coastal campgrounds, lakeside van or tent camps, remote expedition sites.

Proper Placement: Study your site - observe wind patterns and test wind speeds. For the most stable wind conditions, try to place the turbine as high up on your site as possible with the fewest physical obstructions. Be creative if necessary, but make sure the turbine is properly supported and stable to prevent accidental tipping.

Conditions: Built for snowy conditions and wet environments, the IA5T is IP65 rated and has an operating temperature range of -30°C to +40°C, making Texenergy's wind turbines suitable for a wide range of geographic locations and weather conditions.
