BERETTA

Beretta SpA, the oldest firearms manufacturer, was founded in 1526 in Gardone Val Trompia. It was founded by the legendary Pietro Beretta (1498-1565), and expanded by Pietro (1791-1853). His son Giuseppe (1840-1903) took the company from Italy to international markets, while Pietro (1870-1957) moved the company from small-scale artisan production to modern production lines. His sons Giuseppe (1906-1993) and Carlo (1908-1984) achieved success in both the military and civilian markets, and over the last 500 years, Beretta has thrived around the world. Beretta's factory, which was only about 10,000 m2 in the late 20th century, has expanded to over 76,000 m2 today. In the early 1990s, in addition to the production of traditional competition guns, the company began selling all kinds of accessories, hunting, clay shooting and outdoor apparel. In 1956, at the Melbourne Olympics in clay shooting, Beretta won the first gold medal with a competition gun. Since then, it has won numerous victories in major international competitions as well as the World Championships since 1978. He has won Olympic medals in Rome (1960), Munich (1972), Montreal (1976), Moscow (1980), Los Angeles (1984), Seoul (1988), Barcelona (1992), Atlanta (1996), Sydney (2000) and Athens (2004), and at the 2008 Beijing Games he won two gold medals and one silver medal using a Beretta competition rifle.

Beretta's folding knife was manufactured in cooperation with Maserin, a long-established Italian knife manufacturer. It is a simple folding type. The blade is 440C stainless steel. It is the hardest and strongest material among stainless steels, and it has the hardness to keep the blade sharp and high resistance to rust and corrosion. The handle is made of walnut wood and orange G10 (a type of glass fiber). The biggest advantage of a folding knife is that you can carry it with the blade stored.
