★Pahkataide Kuksa Brandy Pipe Pipe-shaped Kuksa Handmade by Kuksa Craftsmen Camping Equipment Outdoor★
[Pipe-shaped kuksa for drinkers]
It seems that pipe-shaped kuksa has been used in Finland for a long time. A pipe-shaped kuksa has a hole from the tip of the protruding handle to the bottom of the cup, and you can drink from it like a straw. Since the alcohol evaporates more easily through a straw than when drinking distilled liquor from a regular cup, and you can get drunk with a smaller amount, these pipes are sometimes used to drink high-alcohol distilled liquor to ease the extremely harsh cold of the Nordic region.
[Pakkataidekuksa brandy pipe]
These are cups for distilled liquor, individually handcrafted by craftsmen at Pakkateide in Finland. In addition to this brandy pipe-shaped kuksa, they also have a whiskey shot kuksa. The design is reminiscent of a pipe tobacco, but it inhales alcohol instead of smoke. This type of cup is a little rare in Japan. There is a small hole in the center of the protruding handle. It penetrates to the bottom of the cup, from which the distilled liquor can be inhaled. The material is curly birch. There are no two cups that have the same beautiful, distinctive grain. The long genuine leather strap can be worn around the neck. Unlike regular kuksa, the bottom of the cup is urethane coated to withstand hard liquor. The bottom is inscribed with the name of Finnish kuksa craftsman Marco.
<In Finland>
If a beloved kuksa is damaged, it can be repaired by mixing wood powder with putty or tree resin to fill in the cracks, and it can be used again with care. This is a Finnish tradition that values wooden products, and is something we should all try to emulate.

★Notes★
If you suddenly pour hot water into a dry cup, it will absorb the water and expand rapidly, and if the cup has beautiful grain, it may crack from the grain. In dry weather, such as winter, please soak the cup in water until it is moist before using it. Unlike glass or ceramic cups, there is no danger even if a crack occurs.
