This is a bible-like picture book for birdwatchers! The revised and expanded new edition retains the easy-to-understand illustrations, structure, and detailed explanations of the previous edition, but has been revised to match the classification in the "Catalog of Birds of Japan, 7th Edition," and with the latest information. It is thinner than the previous edition, making it easier to carry and use outdoors. In response to a popular request from readers in a survey for bookmark strings, two bookmark strings have been included.

The "Field Guide to Wild Birds of Japan" was published by our association about 30 years ago. Based on the idea of ​​author Shinji Takano that "picture books are not for looking at but for reading," the book puts a lot of effort into not only illustrations but also explanations.
